It started with a simple realization: we were tired of the synthetic chemicals constantly pumped into and put onto our bodies. We decided to take control and start removing those unnatural elements from our lives, one thing at a time.
When we finally swapped our standard body wash for a truly natural soap, the difference was undeniable. That immediate, revitalizing feeling after a shower completely changed the way we viewed bathing. It was no longer just a chore or a rushed routine; it became a ritual we actually looked forward to. That single switch sparked a deep appreciation for natural body care and laid the foundation for ALTA. Our mission became clear: to elevate your daily routine.
We Know Dirty
We are David and Payton, the founders of ALTA. Between David owning a welding and fabrication business and Payton working as a project manager for a construction company, we know a thing or two about hard work and getting our hands dirty. Because we face the dirt, sweat, and elements daily, we understand exactly what it takes to get truly clean. We needed products that worked as hard as we do, without compromising on quality or health.
The Craft & Our Roots
In the beginning, we handcrafted every single bar of soap ourselves. As our passion for body care grew alongside our demanding vocations, we knew we needed a way to grow without sacrificing the artisanal quality we fell in love with. Today, we partner with an FDA-approved lab that specializes in small-batch, handcrafted soaps to ensure exceptional consistency and safety. But we haven't completely left the workbench—we still personally handcraft our signature small batches of tallow-based soaps.
We are proudly based in Odenville, Alabama, and staying true to our roots means keeping our community involved. All of our packaging is manufactured by a local print shop right here in town, where every box is meticulously hand-cut and glued together.
